A constable from Vosman police in Witbank, Mpumalanga, allegedly killed three people over the weekend, Witbank News reports.
According to provincial spokesperson Brigadier Leonard Hlathi, the constable shot five people in the early hours of Sunday, February 5 before turning the gun on himself.
The other two victims are in a serious condition in hospital.

“We are investigating this tragedy,” said Brigadier Hlathi.
He called on police officers to be careful when they handle their firearms.
“Firearms are to protect yourself and the community. It is not to be used in settling scores.”
The shooting happened at Vlaklaagte in Kwaggafontein.
