Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe resigns

By Citizen Reporter

Eskom’s national spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe announced his resignation via Twitter on Friday morning. He confirmed that his last working day would be April 30, ending the tweet by thanking Eskom for entrusting him to be their spokesperson for the past five years.

The outspoken spokesperson was known for using Twitter to update the country on the often bleak outlook of the power utility’s loadshedding schedules, as well as the goings on at struggling power stations Medupi and Kusile.

People responded to his resignation by wishing him well, and apologising for taking their frustrations out on him.
