Pupils turned sex slaves for teachers who suffer from ‘sexual poverty’, says Cosas

By Citizen Reporter

The Congress of the South African Students (Cosas) has called for the South African Council of Educators (Sace) to deregister “porn star” teachers who sleep with pupils but “fail to satisfy” their wives at home.

The movement was reacting to the news of about 30 female pupils who were allegedly impregnated by male teachers in the past three years at Bothithong High School in the Northern Cape. The teachers allegedly paid the teenagers stipends for sex.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Cosas said the problem of educators who are sexually involved with pupils is dragging the image of the government led by the ANC through the mud.

“We view these problems and barbaric tradition in a serious light and we have taken a progressive decision that we are not going to massage the feelings of porn stars that are masquerading as educators in our schools and we have reached a political consensus that we are going to apply revolutionary student tactics and guerrilla intellectualism strategies in order to eradicate sexual abuse against female students,” it said.

The movement said teachers should understand that they are entrusted with the lives of pupils in schools and that they pupils view the educators as parents.

“We are worried about what has transpired at Bothitong High School. Therefore we call for teachers who suffer from sexual poverty in their marriage and who are romantically and sexually involved with female students to be fired with immediate effect because these porn stars are destroying the future of our female students.

“We are of the view that the rise of Sexual Transmitted Diseases and other sexual diseases amongst girl learners is a result of them sleeping with teachers who are failing to satisfy their wives in bed.”
