Tshwane spokesperson Selby Bokaba said city technicians and electricians would focus on area outages for restoration and thereafter attend to individual complaints.
“We have to take special precautions due to the unfavourable weather conditions and will update our customers as the areas are switched back on.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to apologise to all our consumers affected by the power outages for the inconvenience caused,” Bokaba said.
He warned residents that all electrical points should be treated as live at all times.
Affected customers are urged to report power failures by SMS the word “power” followed by your account number to 0826120333 or 44676.
Power failures can also be reported at 012 358 9999, choose the electricity option or call 080 1111 556.
