Afrikaans celebs pay tribute to Theuns Jordaan
In light of Theuns Jordaan's passing, a true legend in the Afrikaans music industry, celebs from across the country have paid tribute to a fellow musician and friend.

Singer and songwriter Theuns Jordaan’s untimely death shook the country and especially the Afrikaans community, with social media being flooded with heartfelt tributes to someone who made his mark by doing what he loved.
Jordaan, 50, is said to have passed away in his sleep on Wednesday morning after he had been diagnosed with leukaemia last year.

Fellow-singer Juanita du Plessis, with whom Theuns shared many a stage, writes that everyone knows he was a very private person and she wants to respect that.
She says he was like a brother to her, and one of her best friends over many years.
“He was a phenomenal monument for Afrikaans music, and his music and voice will live forth in our hearts and our homes,” she says.
