Keeping Ballito safe is the name of the game for UIP security supervisor, Wellington Nkomo
The Ballito UIP was established by local commercial property owners in 2014 to combat urban decay, protect property values and deliver enjoyable public spaces for everyone.
Ballito UIP security supervisor, Wellington Nkomo, hails from Stanger and has worked as a security supervisor for the Ballito Urban Improvement Precinct (UIP) for the past 4 years.
As supervisor it is his responsibility to coordinate and supervise all security staff who daily patrol the Ballito Business Park.
Additionally, he and his team also assist by lending a helping hand to the UIP’s cleaning teams when necessary.
The Ballito UIP was established by local commercial property owners in 2014 to combat urban decay, protect property values and deliver enjoyable public spaces for everyone.
This is done by bringing supplementary cleaning, greening, maintenance and security services to the area which extends from the N2 through the Ballito Business Park down Ballito Drive, incorporating the M4 as far as the Zimbali circle, Compensation Beach Road and the Ballito promenade.
This is a tight-knit team of community champions who are committed to keeping the precinct safe, clean and green.
