Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend:
· A car was broken into at Virgin Active, Ballito on Friday, afternoon. A laptop, money, power tools and sunglasses were stolen.
· There was a house break-in at the Shortens Country Club Estate, Ballito on Friday.
· A family was held up at gunpoint in their home in Upper Tongaat, Waterfall area, on Friday. Money and cellphones were taken.
· A house on Riet Valley Farm on P104 (Glendale Road) was broken into on Saturday. Money and jewellery were stolen.
· A group of women were held at gunpoint in Upper Tongaat, Waterfall area, on Sunday. Cellphones, money and their bags were taken.
Umhlali SAPS urge residents to report crimes against women and children and human trafficking. Those who have applied for competency certificates and firearm licence are to please go to the firearm office at the station for collection from Monday to Wednesday before 10am.
