Parkrun to honour Ballito father
Runners will all wear red in memory of Martin Willis.
On Saturday morning at 8am, runners will do the 5km Ballito parkrun in honour of Martin Willis who died last weekend.
The 45-year-old Ballito resident collapsed and died near the finish of the trail run at Sugar Rush Park last Saturday.
A minute’s silence will be observed before runners dressed in red T-shirts will run and walk the route with Willis’ wife Colleen, their three children and his two brothers in memory of his life.
Colleen said she was grateful for all the support they received from the community.
A memorial service was held for Willis at the Umhlali Country Club on Friday afternoon.
