The Orphan Fund shares some Christmas joy
The Orphan Fund celebrates with the children at Smile With Us.
The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund celebrated its annual Christmas party last Thursday, November 26 at Smile With Us children’s centre in Frasers and there were smiles all round as tens of excited faces greeted the visitors.
The Courier team were welcomed by 80 adorable children and their carers for a couple of hours of festive fun.
Eat Local Ballito sponsored 25 delicious large pizzas for the children, while Wicked Donuts from Westville donated a mouth-watering batch of 80 gourmet doughnuts as an after-lunch treat for the little ones.
After the children polished off the last of the treats, each child was handed a Christmas cracker of their own, donated by Lauren Clohessy from Glenart. This proved to be a massive hit as many of the children had never seen a cracker before, so each time one was pulled apart with a loud bang, excitement rippled through the centre – especially when the sweets came pouring out.
Lifestyle Superspar and Tiffany’s Superspar each donated 40 two litre Oros juices as a treat for the children to enjoy with their families at home.
