Aircraft debris may be found on coast

If you find fragments of the missing Malaysian aeroplane flight MH370, please alert authorities.

It is anticipated that more discoveries of fragments of the Malaysian MH370 (the Boeing 7772H6ER aircraft registered as 9M-MRO) aircraft could be made in the coming months, spread over the shores of the western Indian Ocean including the KwaZulu-Natal coastline.

There is a request to researchers, fishing and coastal communities and other users and visitors along the South African coastline to alert the nearest police station, a maritime authority or the SA Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) if they find anything which might resemble debris from the missing aircraft.

They are asked to take a photograph if possible.

Experts working on the debris confirmed to be from the missing Malaysian aeroplane flight MH370, that went missing on 8 March 2014, said there have been four finds of floating debris items that have either been confirmed or are considered highly-likely to be from MH370, found in Mauritius, Mozambique and Mossel Bay.
