One dead, two critically in Watson highway accident

Traffic is backed up due to an accident on the Watson highway in the vicinity of the N2 on-ramp.

A security officer died in an accident on the Watson highway, near the N2 on-ramp early this morning.

“A taxi and a security vehicle crashed. Another two security officers were critically injured and paramedics used  Advanced Life Support to save their lives,” said IPSS Medical Rescue‘s Paul Herbst.

“The patients were transported to a local hospital.”

Two people in the taxi suffered minor injuries and they were also taken to hospital.

Herbst said morning traffic is severely backed up.
