Three dead and two critical in Fairbreeze accident
Paramedics found that three patients had already died when they arrived at the accident location.
Three people died, two are critical and one person has moderate injuries in a accident on the N2, Fairbreeze this afternoon.
Three light motor vehicles collided according to IPSS Medical Rescue‘s Paul Herbst..
Paramedics sped to the accident scene and together with government services assisted the patients.
“On arrival paramedics found that three patients had already died due to the extensive injuries sustained. Three more people were entrapped, two of them were diagnosed as critical,” said IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst.
Paramedics along with the fire department extricated the entrapped patients and all patients required Advanced Life Support intervention.
One patient freed from the wreckage was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Durban.
