WATCH: Ballito heroes recount dramatic rescue

Kyle Meyer, Quentin Power, Brendon Power, Murray Rait and Brett Moran braved swells of up to 7 meters amid body-breaking rocks in rapidly failing light light to save the victims.

On Wednesday evening rescue swimmers from Specialised Rescue Unit (SRU) engaged in dramatic rescue of five trapped holidaymakers near the Hole in the Wall at Thompson’s Bay.
