Ballito’s dogs to benefit from quiz night

"Everyone loves puppies, so finding forever homes for them is fairly easy. Older dogs however are not so lucky."

Get your thinking caps on, gather your clever friends and join us at Counter Culture (Ballito) this Wednesday, October 12 for the For Paws Quiz Night to raise funds for Puppy SOS.

After having homed about 500 puppies, Puppy SOS’ David Hanson is now focusing his attention on older dogs.

“Everyone loves puppies, so finding forever homes for them is fairly easy. Older dogs however are not so lucky, which is why I have decided to focus my energy on trying to help them get a second chance at a loving family for life,” said Hanson.

To help the older furries one of The North Coast Courier designer, Jenna Hight started For Paws, through which she plans to hold bi-monthly fundraisers for various, local animal rescue organisations.

“I have always had a love for animals, just no garden big enough to save them all, but thankfully there are people that do!” said Hight.

“The first event is a quiz night for Puppy SOS on October 12. All the money raised from the tickets we sell and raffles will go straight to them. Tickets are R60 each and teams of four to six people can play. Tickets are limited as
we only have space for 50 people. There will also be pizzas and drinks for sale so you won’t go hungry. Erin Dickson from East Coast Radio will be our MC and will keep everyone on their toes.”

The quiz winners will win wine, thanks to Manor Liquors and will get a lunch and coffee voucher for the whole team from Counter Culture cafè. The raffle prizes include beautiful clothing from Rooi Rok Bokkie, as well as jewelry and lots more.

Buy your tickets from the North Coast Courier office on Ballito Drive (next to the Caltex garage). Contact Jenna at 032-9460276
