Sheffield woman found shot in her car

The woman was clenching a wooden cross in one hand.

A woman was found shot in her car at about 10am today at Sheffield Beach.

The woman, in her late 50s, was discovered in a parked car with a gunshot wound to her head.

A gun and note was also found in the car.

The woman was clenching a wooden cross in one hand.

Paul Herbst from IPSS Medical Rescue said the woman was still breathing when paramedics arrived.

“After she was intubated, she was placed on a ventilator before being transported to a local hospital,” said Herbst.
