WATCH: Two dead after truck drives over car outside Zinkwazi

The wreckage was scattered over 50 metres

What can only be described as a horror scene on the N2 near Zinkwazi is the result of a truck driving over a Mercedes Benz early this morning.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst, who described the scene as an “absolute wreckage with body parts lying all over the road”, two people were entrapped and succumbed to their injuries.

The wreckage was scattered as far as 50 metres from the point of impact.

The engine compartment of the Mercedes was ripped from the car by the force of the collision.

The N2 South Bound is currently closed while the wreckage is being cleared.
