Save SA demonstration in Ballito set for Friday
Ballito will see a placard demonstration of its own on Ballito Drive in front of the Virgin Active gym
The recent reshuffling of the cabinet has caused widespread anger across the country – and the Dolphin Coast is no exception.
Mass marches and demonstrations have been planned all over South Africa for Friday and Ballito will see a placard demonstration of its own on Ballito Drive in front of the Virgin Active gym.
According to ward 22 councilor Malcolm Hubner, a multi party demonstration is planned for 10am on Friday.
“This is not a DA thing, it’s a save South Africa thing and all are welcome,” Hubner said.
Hubner told The Courier that they are planning a peaceful demonstration only.
“We are not going to march anywhere or block traffic or anything like that. We are going to stand in solidarity with multiple political parties, civil society groups and citizens across South Africa on Friday to try save our country.”
According to Hubner many businesses in the area will shut down so that their staff can join in the demonstration.
So if you are unhappy about the state of the nation, join them on Friday in front of the Virgin Active gym at 10am with your placard.
