VIDEO: Military helicopter lands at Alberlito
Locals were abuzz at the sight of a military camouflage helicopter landing at Alberlito Hospital this afternoon.
Just after midday today a military Augusta 109 helicopter made a dramatic landing at Netcare Alberlito Hospital.
The helicopter landed at Alberlito as part of their preparations for possible disaster management scenarios.
Staff from the hospital, Netcare 911 and Specialised Rescue Unit (SRU) were on hand to watch the Augusta land and listen to a short talk on emergency operations and the dos and don’ts of hoisting patients up in the air.
Of course, the excitement of watching the helicopter land was quite a draw and many onlookers gathered to watch the descent and take off.
