Residents of Ballito and Darnell trying to get hold of KwaDukuza Municipality have had a difficult time of it since yesterday morning.
People attempting to call municipal contact numbers, including the the switchboard (032 437 5000), municipal emergency number (032 437 5570), the electricity number (032 437 5081) and the traffic and crime number (032 437 5570) from Ballito and Darnell are unable to get through.
KDM communications officer Sphelelo Ngobese told The Courier that calls from Darnell and Ballito were not coming through to the KwaDukuza switchboard since yesterday (Tuesday) and that their technical teams were working to restore communications.
Fortunately, the Umhlali SAPS number (032 437 9900) is still working as well as KwaDukuza police (032 551 8200) and Tongaat police (032 944 9933).
