iLembe ANC Youth League regional secretary dies in car accident

ANC Youth League regional secretary for General Gizenga Mpanza region (iLembe), Mcendisi Magubane died on Friday afternoon.
Magubane was involved in a car accident on Monday, July 12. The 36-year-old was also a ward 17 councillor for Ndwedwe municipality.
Regional ANCYL spokesperson, Ngcebo Mazibuko, said Magubane had been chairperson of the municipal youth advisory sub-committee.
“Magubane has led with distinctions in a number of young congress movement structures, being at the forefront in ensuring that youth development take centre stage in government’s agenda.

“The youth league conveys it heartfelt condolences to the Magubane family, Goba family, ward 17 and the whole district of iLembe community.
“The congress movement has been robbed a dedicated and devoted leader and an activist,” said Mazibuko.
Ndwedwe mayor Nkosinathi Chili sent his condolences to the family and the Ndwedwe community.
“We are still shocked because we were still expecting a lot from this young leader and this is a big loss for Ndwedwe community,” said Chili.
Magubane is the second member of the Ndwedwe municipality council to die this year, following deputy mayor Nokulunga Blose’s death in February.
