Phase 2 vaccinations resume in iLembe district after unrest

Those within the 60 and above category are also being seen to for their second dose, with appointments being prioritised.

Covid-19 vaccinations have resumed this week following last week’s riots.

The total number of cases nationwide as of Monday stood at 375 761, with 637 new cases reported.

The total number of Covid-19 related deaths has now reached 67 080 in South Africa, with 7 209 new cases reported on Monday.

Vaccinations this week continue for the age categories of 50-59, as well as 60 and above.

Those within the 60 and above category are also being seen to for their second dose, with appointments being prioritised.

Four ways to register:
– Go to the EVDS portal to register: www.vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za.
– Register on the Covid WhatsApp number by sending ‘Register’ to 0600 123 456.
– Register by SMS by dialling *134*832*your ID number.
– South Africans who don’t have an ID number can also dial *134*832# for assistance.
