From iLembe to eThekwini, this is where you can get your Covid-19 vaccine

As the roll-out of vaccinations targeting ages 35 and above in the iLembe district begins, a number of temporary sites have popped up to aid in speeding up the vaccine roll-out.

The latest Covid-19 figures indicate that as of Sunday, July 25, KwaZulu-Natal had recorded 1 330 new cases of the virus.

The province remains the second highest in the country with the number of laboratory-confirmed cases countrywide, making up some 16% of cases.

KZN ranks fourth in fatalities, coming in at 11 335 deaths.

According to the provincial department of health, 7 vaccinated healthcare workers have died in the province and the number of daily hospital isolations have increased steadily.

The average number of isolations increased from 52 to 144 admission per day since the start of July.

KZN reported a total of 385 385 positive cases, of which 18 882 are currently active.

iLembe has reported 24 561 confirmed cases and 597 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
