New mobile classrooms for Etete fire-gutted Radha Roopsingh Primary
The primary school's 969 pupils stayed at home on Monday as the mobile classrooms were still being erected.
The education department has given Radha Roopsingh Primary School in Etete 8 additional mobile classrooms after it was damaged by fire during the unrest 2 weeks ago.
Acting principal Mano Naidoo said the school’s offices and stock room had been completely destroyed.

A number of classrooms were also damaged, making them unsafe for use.
The primary school’s 969 pupils stayed at home on Monday as the mobile classrooms were still being erected.
Naidoo said 7 of the prefab rooms will be used as classrooms and one as an office.
“On Tuesday, the grade 7s started learning and we are busy trying to sort out the routine as to how the other children will come in,” he said.
The school lost all their records, textbooks and stationery so they in a desperate need of new stationery and textbooks for the pupils.
