A swarm of bees attacked six garden workers at an Umhlali Country Club and Golf Estate property this morning.
It is understood the men were mowing a lawn near a beehive, causing the bees to become agitated.
Salt Rock bee expert, Trevor Thompson, previously told The Courier that any form of vegetation trimming or mowing grass around bees causes them to feel threatened.

Of the six workers attacked by the swarm, two needed advanced life support care, said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Paul Herbst.
The men were attended to by paramedics before being taken to hospital for further evaluation.
