Subsistence farmers’ stimulus vouchers suspended
The department has received endless complaints from the beneficiaries "and the South African community at large", regarding various problems which could not be left unattended.
The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development has suspended presidential employment stimulus (PES) vouchers to subsistence farmers last Thursday until further notice
The department said this was done as it was “reviewing, reengineering and redesigning” the PES system to address some challenges.
The department received endless complaints from the beneficiaries “and the South African community at large”, regarding various problems which could not be left unattended.
