Sibaya Casino set to rumble and shake with auto sound challenge

Sibaya Casino intends to break out and go loud and large on big bass tremors at the launch of the 2022 International Auto Sound Challenge Association’s (IASCA) sound-off season next Sunday, February 27.

Whether you regard yourself a petrol head, sound junkie or just a simple car enthusiast, if you love good sound booming in your car, this exhibition is for you.

The auto show, last held in pre-pandemic times, sees amateurs and professionals go head-to-head testing their powerful sound systems.

Event organiser, Mohnish Ramgovind said the sound-offs would consist of International Decibel League and Bass Boxing formats.

“The event will also serve as preliminary judging for The State of Stance showdown in June,” he said.

Decibel meters will be turned on at 9am, with entries accepted until 1pm. The final car will be judged at 2.30pm.

“Our partner for 2022 is Gas Magazine, who will run the Show and Shine display – with a slight twist,” Ramgovind said.

“Winners of the show and shine will receive an all-access VIP weekend pass for the State of Stance event, as well as having their cars displayed on one of the biggest platforms SA has to offer.”

Cars will be judged by car owners who enter, but they cannot vote for their own vehicles.

The show is set to run until 6pm and spectators enter free.
