Eskom to downgrade loadshedding to stage 3 tonight

The struggling state-owned utility said the downgrade to stage 3 follows the recovery of some generation units over the past 24 hours however, an appeal was made that customers continue to use electricity sparingly.

Eskom this afternoon announced that loadshedding will be downgraded to stage 3, but only this evening at 9pm.

Stage 3 will run from 9pm until 5am on Friday morning and then be downgraded to stage 2.

Stage 2 is set to run until Monday at 5am.

Ballito southern grid: 4pm to 6.30pm

Stanger northern grid: 4pm to 6.30pm

Mandini: 6pm to 8.30pm

Tongaat Beach: 10pm to midnight

Tongaat CBD: 10pm to midnight
