The cobbler of Umhlali, the last of the master artisans [Watch]

The Courier caught up with Sebastian Mfumo junior and he shared his history in the business and his plans for it to continue once he has retired.

Sebastian Mfumo junior is one of Umhlali’s best known and most beloved store holders.

Working in the same location as his father before him, Sebastian represents an almost bygone era of master artisans.

With the ability to create, fix or improve any kind of leather goods, Sebastian sees a steady stream of customers from his hole-in-the-wall workshop on Umhlali’s main drag.

The Courier caught up with him and he explained his history in the business and his plans for it to continue once he has retired.
