Umhlali Prep teachers and pupils come to aid of community club

These were then combined to make the blankets which have since gone to those who need it most. In a dual partnership with Dolphin Coast Residents and Ratepayers Association, Umhlali Prep families also rallied to donate rice, lentils, soup packets and stock cubes which were turned into soup bags.

Two teachers from Umhlali Prep raised donations of more than 50 blankets for the surrounding community.

Heather Keith and Vicky Rumble, who head the Eco & Community Club, asked for donations of squares that were knitted by pupils, parents and grandparents.

Jamie Fraser-Grant, Heather Keith, Sienna Hayward, Julia Prigge, Nina Visagie, Vicky Rumble and Development Mhlaba with a few of the donated blankets.

These were then combined to make the blankets which have since gone to those who need it most. In a dual partnership with Dolphin Coast Residents and Ratepayers Association, Umhlali Prep families also rallied to donate rice, lentils, soup packets and stock cubes which were turned into soup bags.

These have been donated to food scarce residents in the Frasers community.
