The communities of Thembeni and Charlottedale are living in fear as people are being raped,  robbed, beaten up and killed almost every day.
These incidents are being reported to police every day. We as community feel that the police are ignoring us. We feel that no one cares.
We urge SAPS to do their job. We urge them to make us feel free in our community. People can’t go out after 7 pm, to go to the toilet or visit our neighbours.
We want police and community police forums to patrol these places from 8pm because that is when most of these incidents happen. Lots and lots of goods have been taken from us. We cannot work hard for other people.
