Last week (Friday) we were inconvenienced the whole day until late into the night without any electricity. The electricity has again gone off today (Monday) and hopefully the problem will be remedied some time soon.
This is ridiculous in the extreme especially for some of us who are reliant on a reasonable service and yet the failures continue unabated.
Surely, with all the failed outages council should seriously be considering handing over to another competent authority in the interest of efficiency and a sustained service.
Another complaint has to be around the non performance of the complaints department. The phones simply just ring. No matter how polite the person is on the phone he is useless and fails to understand that it should be a requirement to be kept fully informed of matters arising and to pursue when the matter will be resolved. The department is dysfunctional and needs to be addressed.
Kindly understand that we are trying to operate businesses and can do without this poor and unacceptable service. It is quite amazing that every time we have a power failure Simbithi enjoys uninterrupted power supply.
Hopefully, there will be someone with the decency to provide a response as to when and how council proposes to remedy this problem so as to provide a more acceptable service.
