#Letter: Setting a poor example

"What will happen if I follow our Saps' example and park my vehicle in the same manner?" - Thumelo Khulu.

Ballito resident Thumelo Khulu writes:

Can someone please advise me when the traffic laws changed?

I was walking my dog on the beach road last Wednesday when a police van made a U-turn in the one-way street behind Hops, proceeded against the indicated traffic direction and parked on the pavement next to a red line.

I’m under the impression one is not supposed to drive against the indicated direction of a one-way and not allowed to park on a road with a red line.

There was plenty of legal parking further down in the street.

What will happen if I follow our Saps’ example and park my vehicle in the same manner?
