Umhlali Prep dancers take the beat to Austria
Jordyn and Mia flew their country's flag with pride as they danced against 72 duos from all over the world.
Two young dancers from Umhlali Prep represented South Africa at the Street Dance World Championships in Austria in October.
Jordyn Grace and Mia Bullock were part of the SA Team that competed against 36 countries in this prestigious competition.
Jordyn and Mia flew their country’s flag with pride as they danced against 72 duos from all over the world.
They received diplomas from the International Dance Organisation for their sporty and well rehearsed performance earning them 22nd placing in the world.
“I am very proud of the girls as they have firstly represented their province with pride and have been sterling ambassadors abroad for South Africa,” said their coach, Mandy Bullock.
“Both girls have worked hard and have been extremely diligent at all their rehearsals and have given a sterling performance at this most prestigious event.”
“I am positive that more international doors will open for our dancers in the KZN province as the talent we have must be showcased abroad to give our youth more opportunities to grow.”
“I am excited for 2017 and encourage more dancers to get involved regionally, nationally and internationally,” she said.
