Funny Father Christmas!

Have some fun this festive season!

He is known as a large and jolly man who brings cheer to millions of children, but this year Father Christmas is having a mid-life crisis. He is thinner, grumpier, and far from ready for the Yuletide rush.

The situation is so grim that his wife, Mary Christmas, will have to step in to do his job. Along with a team of young elves, she will have to ensure every child receives a present, and that the spirit of Christmas lives on.

MacBob Productions presents a fun-filled new festive season show for youngsters of all ages at Grace Family Church in Umhlanga between December 10 and 12.

Prepare for a merry season of festive fun with popular comedian, Aaron McIlroy and friends, in a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at what is really happening up at the North Pole!

Funny Father Christmas promises to be a cracker of a show that celebrates the season with comedy, song and dance. The show is written by Aaron McIlroy and Patrick Kenny, with musical direction by Shelley Mclean, choreography by Leigh Meyer, and lighting by Michael Broderick.

“What makes the magic is the music,” said McIlroy, who plays Father Christmas.

“The fact that we are sharing the stage with about 20 elves – talented youngsters between the ages of 10 and 16, makes this a prime opportunity for them to experience professional theatre, and for audiences to support the stars of tomorrow.”

A number of the elves hail from Ballito area.

Tickets for Funny Father Christmas are R125 and are available through Webtickets at www.webtickets.co.za or at the door. Performances are at 3pm and 6.30pm on December 10 and 11, and 10am and 3pm on December 12.
