Sunningdale resident, Warren Duffield, has just returned from the UK, winning the advanced male section.

SUNNINGDALE resident, Warren Duffield, has just won the world line dance championships in the adult advanced male section at the World Dance Masters World championship in Blackpool, UK.

He also qualified as an All Star, which is the most prestigious section in world line dance. He was judged by an elite panel of nine judges and won first place in all three of his competitive dances.

Warren qualified to dance at the world championships by winning the South African championship in May this year. He shared his dancing success and passion by teaching line dance, Latin-American, ballroom and salsa at his Sunningdale and Durban North based studios.

His future plans include competing at the European Dance Masters Championships in Ireland in March next year, and returning to compete as an all star in The World Dance Masters Championships in Blackpool in August next year.

He will also be performing in the South African Dance Teachers’ Association’s production of Shall we Dance at The Playhouse this month.
