Police arrest another drug mule
Another person is arrested at King Shaka International Airport for smuggling drugs into the country.

IN another major drug bust for KwaZulu-Natal, officers from the Durban Organised Crime Unit and Customs have arrested a 31-year-old man at the King Shaka International Airport on Monday 4 November.
The Bolivian man was on a flight from Brazil via Dubai and was arrested when he arrived in Durban at 5pm.
Police and Customs’ officials already received information that the drugs were en-route to Durban. The suspect was identified and intercepted. His luggage was searched and officials found two parcels containing a total two kilograms of cocaine with a street value of about R600 000. The Bolivian national was arrested and charged with dealing in drugs. He is due to appear in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court soon.
The KwaZulu-Natal provincial commissioner, Lt Gen Mmamonnye Ngobeni, commended members of the Durban Organised Crime Unit and Customs for the successful joint the operation.
“It is imperative that we intercept these drug shipments before they reach the hands of those who ply their trade by brining misery to our society, especially our youth.
By working together, various government departments are turning the tide on the drug trade by dealing with the source of these dangerous drugs,” she said.
