It is the end of the year and the holidays are almost here. To help elderly people enjoy the festive season, Grade 8 pupils at Northlands Girls’ High School (NGHS) have been assisting Durban-based Jingle Bells Project, creating hampers for those in need.

The Jingle Bells Project is a community initiative aimed at sharing Christmas blessings with those less fortunate. It is the mission of the project to support a new home each year, spreading the Christmas cheer and creating awareness of homes in need. This year the Jingle Bells Project is supporting the Natal Settlers Memorial and the Sinakekele Chlidren’s Home, non-profit organisations housing more than 500 elderly, mentally and physically disabled and frail folks from the community.
