Fund-raiser for cycle champ
Sugar Rush is hosting the fund-raising event to support Natalie Bergstrom defend her title at the World Championships in Norway.
A FUND-RAISING MTB ride is being held at The Sugar Rush Centre, Collisheen Estate, Ballito on Sunday 9 February to assist Natalie Bergstrom in her quest to return to Norway this year to defend her UCI Mountain Bike World Championship title that she scooped at last year’s mountain bike world championships.
Known as the ‘Pocket Rocket’, the local world champ rider only blasted onto the scene in 2011, yet has claimed countless ladies titles, especially in her KZN home province.
Bergstrom is now preparing for the world championships being held in Lillehammer, Norway and is determined to bring home the gold again for South Africa.
Sugar Rush is hosting the fund raising event to support Bergstrom in making her dream of attending the 2014 World Championships come true.
This fun family day starts at 7.30 am.
There is a 40km, an 18km and a 5km ride, a market, a supervised kid zone with a water slide and loads of prizes to be won.
