Pupils bond over fun outing

Crawford College La Lucia's Grade 9s enjoy fun bonding tour.

“BONDING tour at school?” This was the question running through the minds of all Grade 9 pupils when we first received the news.

We arrived at school at the start of our 2014 bonding tour and weren’t completely sure what to expect, but it ended up being the best bonding tour ever.

We bonded over an emotional challenge day in the drama room and headed to the Nino’s balcony for a break, where we watched the Gladiantics crew setting up. Each team was made to race against one another on the slip and slide obstacle course.

Much to our disappointment, the day came to an end, but we all knew that we needed to rest for the next day of fun in the sun at uShaka Marine World.

We could not contain our excitement on the bus to uShaka and, upon arrival, we headed straight for the Wet ‘n Wild rides which included the lazy river, the Jika Jika and the highly anticipated, Body Tornado.

The schedule for the rest of the day included a braai, roasting marshmallows and a heated karaoke competition in the drama room. We then made our way to our tents on the field for a good night’s rest.

The last day of the bonding tour brought sadness to all our hearts as our adventure had, unfortunately, come to an end. The teachers who joined us on the Grade 9 bonding tour gave us an exhilarating experience that we will surely remember for the rest of our lives.
