Another domestic worker held up
Another domestic worker was held up by armed robbers this week.
ANOTHER domestic worker was held up when five armed men stormed the Portland Place house she was cleaning.
According to Greenwood Park SAPS, the woman was ironing on Tuesday, 27 May when she heard someone tampering with the house’s security gate.
“When she went to go and look at what was making the noise she saw two men outside,” said Lt Elvis Naidoo, spokesman for the station.
She then panicked and screamed for help, but one of the men pulled out a gun, pointed it at her and told her to keep quiet.
The robbers then went inside the house and demanded money and jewellery from the domestic worker.
“The men then took her to the main bedroom, where another three robbers were waiting for their accomplices. They tied her hands behind her back and ransacked the house.
The robbers then made their getaway in a white car. No arrests have been made and no one was injured.
Last week, a domestic worker was tied to a chair and the house she was cleaning was ransacked.
Lt Naidoo said the woman was cleaning a house in Harrison Drive when the armed men attacked and made off with items worth R20 000.
