Man dies in M4 bridge crash

A MAN in his 50’s died when his vehicle slammed into the M41 bridge over the M4 this afternoon.

“Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation,” said Netcare 911’s Chris Botha.

Botha added that Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man still trapped in the vehicle with life threatening injuries.

“After they extricated the patient, paramedics started with advanced life support resuscitation and continued for over 30 minutes. Tragically, despite all their efforts, the man was declared dead at the scene,” Botha said.
