Two die in M4 crash, baby critically injured

A TEENAGE boy and a woman died in a head-on collision while four others were injured, two critically, along the M4 near eMdloti on Wednesday, 23 July.

Paramedics said they arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed with accident debris and the twisted frame of one of the vehicles. The wreckage of the other vehicle came to rest on its side wedged up against a tree in the field.

Netcare 911’s spokesman Chris Botha said after assessing the scene, medics found one woman had tragically died, three people were critically injured (one of them a 15 -year-old boy who died later in hospital). Two other people were seriously injured. One was a one-year-old baby.
