Durban North infant caught in robbery attack

Infant hastily left on the floor as robbers ransack her parents' house.

HEARTLESS criminals left a six month old baby on the floor as they beat up a domestic worker in yet another brazen house robbery in Durban North. The incident occurred at Carlilse Crescent at about 10.30am this morning (22 September).

According to initial reports, three men forced the driveway gate open before confronting the domestic worker who was carrying the infant.

A friend of the family who wanted to remain anonymous said the family were traumatised by the incident.

“They snatched the baby from her and left her on the floor. The men then beat the domestic worker up punching her several times in the face.

“They then ransacked the house stealing two flatscreen televisions and a laptop before being disturbed by the toddler’s mother who was woken by the screams for help. She then pressed the panic button and the men fled on foot,”  she said.
