Steven Mabugana, the Sharks Board presenter, used his sharp humor to entertain and educate children from various schools about the sharks and the purpose of the Sharks Board.
Children were given important tips on how to remain safe while swiming in the ocean, and were ‘treated’ to a shark distection, where they got a glimpse into the mysterious life of the misunderstood sharks.
“The aim was to teach children about the ocean and the animals living within it. Sharks are often misunderstood and lablled as killers, but we wanted to teach children that while they are dangerous, they are also worthy of our respect and admiration,” said Mpho Lephaila, the Sharks Board communication officer.
