A MAN believed to be in his late forties is in a serious condition after he was assaulted and stabbed in a park on Umhlanga Rocks Drive, earlier this evening. According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen, the motive of the stabbing is still unknown.

“There was an altercation between two men which resulted in a stabbing. The victim was treated on scene and intermediate life support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was taken through to a nearby hospital for further care,” he said.

Van Reenen added Durban North SAPS, who were on scene, will be investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
