Police hunt acid killer

After a woman and her nephew were killed in an acid attack, police are urgently searching for the person behind the murders.

IN July this year, acid was poured over Ntokozo Sobahle Nzuza, 34, and her nephew, Mlungisi Ngongoma, who was four years old at the time.

The two were sleeping when the incident occurred at around 4am in the morning at a flat in Mansel Road just off Umgeni Road. Both died in the horrific incident. Now police want to track down their killer and they are appealing for assistance.

Major Thulani Zwane said, “Both victims sustained serious injuries and were given medical care. Nzuza died in hospital last month and Mlungisi died two days ago.”

The police are now asking members of the public to come forward with any information they may have to help catch the criminal by contacting the investigating officer, Det W/O Sivan Naidoo on 031 325 4107 or 083 519 0356, or CrimeStop on 0860 010 111.
