THIS letter is addressed to the cowardly monkey murderer in Glen Anil as reported in your paper last week.
Why do I say ‘cowardly’? You are skulking behind your anonymity. Why ‘murderer’? Because to deliberately killed a primate, a creature of the same order as yourself (and all of us), which makes you a murderer.
The female vervet, possibly pregnant, could not be saved after having been shot in the head with your pellet gun, according to Monkey Helpline. There are many non-lethal ways of deterring the presence of monkeys, the principal one is by using your intelligence.
Your cruel act will sit on your conscience and fester.
