Kensington Drive mirror thief nabbed

Suspects steal side mirror of car parked in Durban North.

A MAN suspected of stealing a side mirror of a vehicle on Adelaide Thambo (Kensington Drive) was nabbed last night after vigilant work from patrolling security officers. According the Marshall Security’s Tyron Powell, the theft occurred at about 11.30pm last night.

“One of our security officers working on a site in Kensington saw two suspicious males suspects driving a white Jetta. The suspects had stolen a side mirror from a Polo from a parking lot and had fled. The description and direction of the vehicle they where traveling in was circulated among our vehicles.

“Another of our officers noticed the vehicle on Blackburn Road and began to follow it. He followed it to an address in Red Hill. When the suspects parked they noticed our vehicle, they attempted to flee. One of the suspects was apprehended. The car’s mirror was recovered in the vehicle. A witness subsequently identified the suspect,” said Powell.

The suspect was handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS.
