Durban North home ransacked while family sleeps

The suspects loaded the homeowner's car with stolen goods and drove away.

A DURBAN North family was robbed of several items, including their car, while they slept last night. The incident occurred on Kelvin Place late on Tuesday night, explained Marhsall Security’s Tyron Powell.

“The family reported waking up only to find several items, including their car – a silver Hyundai Atos which the suspects used to transport the stolen goods – missing. The car was not fitted with a tracking device. The suspects also broke into an outbuilding and stole a tablet, which unfortunately did not have an android tracker,” he said.

A similar incident occurred on Chartwell Drive at the beginning of last month. The suspect loaded the homeowner’s vehicle with goods while they were asleep and it was later involved in a high-speed chase and crash.
