Bomb scare rocks uMhlanga

Radiation was detected in the building, which could indicate the presence of a bomb.

PEOPLE have been evacuated at the FNB building on Kikembe Road in uMhlanga following a bomb scare.

According to Crisis Medical’s Neil Powell, paramedics are on scene. He confirmed that there have been no injuries. Powell said security had detected radiation within the building, which suggested the possibility of a bomb.

He said the bomb squad and dog unit were on scene. Captain Raymond Deokaran said the station was aware of the incident and are en-route.
